Pig can do it!

Hey everyone! I had this outfit kind of prepared to blog on friday but I had an hectic weekend and I know I have missed a lot since then. Anyways, because I love Apatia, and I’m a fan of Pig, I wanted to post this..even if its this late. As I was putting it together the trixie hair seemed perfect for it and that’s when  it recalled me of this iconic image/poster by graphic artist, J. Howard Miller. Yes, ‘We can do it’ ^^ I know I should’ve made it better but I didn’t really feel like changing it today, it fits the purpose. At the same time, I feel soooo left out of so many awesome releases this weekend I might come back again, just to bug you a little bit more. <3 Uma

”You look so frail”

Some ‘noob’ lover (you know who you are jj <3) said I looked frail earlier. I prefer delicate. There are a couple of things I love in this look, wait, everything but lets see. First of all, ‘Zoe’ hair, the new release from Maitreya, I adore the new hairs released by Onyx for hf so this one was an instant fave. It falls so good, frames the face so amazingly! The second thing is Vivé9 new skin, ‘Miranda‘, this is a group gift y’all so grab it if you can because it is beautiful. I’m a big fan of Blu’s skins and this next one is a must have. Third, is Niniko recent release, I know there’s a few people who love it too, since I’ve seen it around a lot but I could not help to blog it.  Then we have this skirt from Honey*Soul, when I went to grab the tanktop over at niniko I cammed out the street and there it was, just waiting for me. It’s actually a 3 in one skirt, because if you buy it, you get a longer dress version, this smaller skirt and a top.  So that is definitely worth it. I opted for the smaller skirt because it was the easiest way to wear it with Niniko’s tank top. Last but not the least, Barerose’s new bag. GAH, I meant to grab it some time ago but only now had a good reason to do so. I hope you like it <3 Uma

LaGyo’s . ”Circus” collection

So today I wanted to show you a little sneak preview of the soon to be released,  ‘Circus’ collection from Gyorgyna Larnia. From the moment we met and became friends I was happily surprised by her work and creations, I am a jewelry designer irl (for the ones who  don’t know that about me) so I’m extremely picky when it comes to jewelry pieces, both in sl and rl. I don’t wear them as much but I give extreme  importance to it and accessories in general. LaGyo’s Circus collection is beautiful and extremely well done! Each piece is eye-catching and I’m pretty sure, even for some of you who don’t wear as much jewelry, you will be surprised by this collection. I can’t point out my favorite pieces but I did went nuts over the ‘trapeze vertigo’ headpiece and the ‘Soubrette’ (beauty set) eye accessory and earrings. Here I show you 4 sets of some more you’ll be able to check at LaGyo later this week, the caroussel necklace and earrings is a must-see-in-person pieces, because the details are rather amazing and the Siamese twins necklace and Pierrot tears are to die for.  So these were my personal choices and I totally advise you to check  this collection as soon as it comes out.  Definitely something you won’t want to miss. <3 Uma

April’s glow!

As I was strolling around sl today (its past midnight so I guess it was ‘yesterday’) I decided to visit Laqroki, as I hadn’t been there in some time and wanted to check on some  skins. I was just standing there, struggling through lag and admiring each face when I saw Mallory Cowen putting up ‘April’ skin, her newest release. I was ‘patiently’ waiting for it to rezz when I noticed how beautiful it was. I rushed to try it and of course, I fell in love with it. As I was going through each make up I noticed it was mainly a redhead’s skin. Although I had been contemplating for a long time to get a suitable skin for my red hair tones I couldn’t go past the fact there was no other way to wear this skin besides going totally red. I mean, if we think about it, redheads in sl are as ‘rare’ as in rl, or at the very least, there aren’t as much as blondes or even brunettes. So, in a moment of pure impulsiveness I approached Mallory, knowing she was working and with no intention to bother her, I was rather quick and asked her if she would consider in the future to add some brown eyebrows to April. I had no expectations on her part, neither would I think to receive such a warm and quick response from her.  I have no idea if other people had approach her at the time but all I know is she later on added brown eyebrows to this amazing skin and I’m so happy I did open an Im with her and happier to know she took my advise/opinion in consideration. Later on and as soon as I logged I rushed to get the fatpack. So what does that leaves us with..an amazing skin, with both red and brown eyebrows, 10 different make-ups, for only..1990 lindens. Hows that for an amazing deal?..Awesome, and even more so, taking in consideration customer service. I truly advise you to check her recent releases and especially ‘April’ wether you’re a redhead..or, not. <3 Uma

Hey everyone!..So as you will see (down below) I’m lately more inspired to, mix and match ‘old’ stuff with some new, but mainly, old. In sl old for me means treasured. Treasured because there are some pieces I am still in love to this day and others no longer available. I don’t wear them as much as I should so, letting them see the ‘light of day’ a little, does feel good.  Like ‘old’ paper couture stuff or creamshop or Artilleri (which will never go out of style) or Grandma!. I was talking to my friend Amika jewell the other day, Grandma is in the present a furniture store but in the past, Hanae Nishi (owner of grandma!) used to own a really awesome vintage inspired clothes store and I really, really miss it. I am happy to own mostly everything from there and I wish Hanae Nishi could re-launch her clothing line, but, as far as I know it’s gone. For now I hope! Hiya everyone Lately I’ve been going through my invo, checkin on ‘old’ clothes I have and..I had forgotten about this dress and this fur stole (from bijou)I have always loved. This dress was one of the very first dresses I fell in love with, back in the day. I had bought it in black, way before I actually met elka poo (heart and mind behind boing fromage).  At the same time I paired these together, I noticed I’ve also had these Usagui boots for a long time and I actually never blogged an outfit with them before. Shame on me! This is a look I really like, and its pretty simple but it just ..looks great. It’s fresh and simple and very..me. RL me lol. So I decided to share it with you, the colors just go extremely well together and I thought short hair would give it a little modern twist, I’m in love with [Curio] lately so..there. Muah!

Extraordinary job from Milk Motion’s designer – Marie Lauridsen. Again, I bow to her skills and admit once again she makes my favorit-est clothes in sl, though it’s obvious why that is! My Harem pants are amazingly done and are a must have this summer. It’s this year’s new trouser/pants sillouette, and whom else to bring us the perfect ones if not Marie. Ack, this girl’s rocking! Thank you <3! while in rl not all of us can pull them off, in sl everyone can and these are just what you need. <3 Uma

Lazy Nerdsie!

*stretches* and waves! Hai! I’ve been soooo lazy lately, I had planned to blog this outfit some days ago, but haven’t had the time or motivation to. I’m glad I actually didn’t because when I logged today I had a few and wonderful surprises waiting for meh. <3! The outfit itself I had put together a few days ago, thanks to Malte (from *curiosity*) who gave me this awesome checked cardigan and was my inspiration for the whole look. The hair is an absolute fav, from CBC, Bubbles Clawtooth is rocking and you can find this at HF still! Also, You may wonder which skin is this,  BluAbyss denimore, owner and designer of Vivé9 skins will be releasing this lovely one in a week or so and I’m so proud to show you a preview of ‘Gemma‘. Quirky, delicate, amazing features on ‘Gemma’ and I’m pretty sure some of you will absolutely love it. I know I do!

Sometimes I like to add some furniture to my pictures,  and I’m addicted to it, especially when it’s done with such amazing attention on details, and it’s not news Miabella Foxley creates some if not the best around. This is part of m.fox ‘Avery collection‘ and when I saw it, I squeed with happiness. Zomg, How cute is the typewritter? Thanks Mia!
