Shoe Overdose!

As you may have noticed, I’ve been blogging over at the footwear expo blog for the last few days. Along with Anessa and Phoenix, I’ve featured just some of my favorite (and must have) shoes that you can now check personally at the shoe fair (or at the blog if you’re curious). Although I loved the change I still don’t want to neglect my little space here. I wanted to feature (probably) my last choice of shoe fair shoes, the ANEXX lace up boots. OMG, Machang arigatou!!! I have had a shoe overdose the last hours and it couldn’t get any better than this. It’s like christmas at my house now…hence this fun picture I wanted to share with you. ATHENA!

For some time now I’ve been nagging Kookie to make ‘me’ a similar (but her own) version of the insane *couldn’t stop drooling over* (2006) Balenciaga platform boots. Little did I know she would give in (not so easy though ) to produce probably the most amazing and one of her most hard-to-get-it-just-right shoes ever. I cannot think of the words to describe what I felt when I saw these, I seriously don’t. She laughed at my incapability to stop saying ‘OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMGO OMG OMG’ over and over when I saw them (what a surprise hun), as I can’t stop looking at my feet with these on now. She did something incredible in my opinion, something that only she could, and thats not because I love her, no no. It is because she is an amazing shoe designer and one that dedicates and puts all her sweat and love in her creations, believe me. These are quite THE statement shoes and I know, they won’t please you all, but, as most unique and unusual things in fashion, they will grow on you, and they will make you think twice about fashion and you might happen to just love them, unconditionally. Or maybe I’m just a dreamer! My wish to have the balenciagas is now put to rest, because I own kookie’s. <3 Code name? Athena. Where to buy? 2009 SL® Footwear Expo, opening this sunday. <3 Uma

Eskimo Snow

Hot chocolate days!

There’s nothing like staying home in a rainy cold winter’s day…or even better, having a hot chocolate and some sweets to brighten up a day like this. That’s pretty much the feel I wanted to portray with these pictures. I found the cutest candy shop in a sim a friend’s building and that (plus the fact I don’t have to go out in rl) just made my day. Warm turtleneck dress from Elate, amazing knit cardigan from Kiitos, the cozy-est tights (latest release) from Twosome and the kick ass buckle boots from ANEXX felt like the perfect look to go grab some doughnuts and run home to prepare me some hot choco! Fun, warm and casual with a bit of sweet cuteness. Good days…

Un Amour De Pomme De Terre

Yesterday, before I went to sleep I was remembering old cartoons I used to watch when I was a child, heidi being so old and one of them.  Not sure any of you remember it, or saw it when you were kids but that inspired me to put this outfit together. Heidi wasn’t a redhead and lol, I don’t plan to look 5 years old here, but I had little images in mind like praries, wood shacks, quilts, big chunky socks and wedges and honey colors, trying to make  a sweet look, quirky and discretely odd. The odd detail being in the leopard bra peeking and contrasting with the checkered dress and other patterns. I guess I wanted a look that expressed an artsy girl’s, carefree spirit, inspired by folklore-ish culture. Dunno if I’m expressing myself clearly, but I can never explain how I see clothes anyways. pft. I am going redhead for a few days and I’m loving it. Muahs, Happy saturday. <3 Uma

I’m loving the feeling of warmth in pieces like ear muffs and scarfs and big comfy coats and boots lately. Yeah, not as much as in rl, since I can still feel the cold but one of my favorite things is dressing accordingly to the seasons in sl. In winter I love seeing pixel snow and layering like a mad girl and in the summer..wear as less as I can..even though there’s exceptions here and here. So Antonia Marat’s contribution to fifty lindens friday just made my day. Couldn’t come in a better moment and it was all I needed to put this together and feel like a lil’ bear. Too cold do dress up

Hi, Hi!..been AFK since saturday so I haven’t been able to log *cries*! Feeling like a bit of an addict without its addiction but need to catch up with a lot of work and rl clothes too (that’s what’s making me happy though) anyways, I found this lost in my pixel folder since saturday so I figured I’d blog. Not too sure about it (I kinda look like a bag lady lmao), it’s definitely less of a fashion statement and casual,  but its hell of a warm and fun to layer look. This skin (which looks kinda odd in this picture, maybe its the wrong choice of hair) was a good skin fair surprise for me. Really liked it (though I haven’t had any time to appreciate it offline *whines again*) anyways, tell me what you think! (’bout the clothes not my face lols) muahs!

..yeah, right so…

1.35am ! That makes it oficially the 6th of november, and therefore I guess I didn’t ‘break the rules’. Yeah, I’m being sarcastic. For the ones who didn’t know or didn’t want to even know about what the 5th  of november was about, in our ‘little’ second life community, it meant a boycot on second life with the intent of letting second life ‘bosses’ know how pissed *cough* and concerned we are about content theft.  Taking in consideration most of us actually dedicated our time to ‘talk’ about it..I’ll give you my little input on it. The intent of this ‘day’ had a really positive and important meaning behind it, and if not all of us have followed the ‘rules’ to really make a difference we did by just voicing our opinions about content theft. We do need to take action, we do need to spread the word, and do whatever we can to stop it, however, let’s not just dedicate one day to it but every day, in any way we can. I do think part of our responsability is to also, educate people, people who are not aware of how big this community is or are not involved in sl in a way we are, include them and not exclude them..and make sl a better experience, for everyone. Respect!
