Too cold do dress up

Hi, Hi!..been AFK since saturday so I haven’t been able to log *cries*! Feeling like a bit of an addict without its addiction but need to catch up with a lot of work and rl clothes too (that’s what’s making me happy though) anyways, I found this lost in my pixel folder since saturday so I figured I’d blog. Not too sure about it (I kinda look like a bag lady lmao), it’s definitely less of a fashion statement and casual,  but its hell of a warm and fun to layer look. This skin (which looks kinda odd in this picture, maybe its the wrong choice of hair) was a good skin fair surprise for me. Really liked it (though I haven’t had any time to appreciate it offline *whines again*) anyways, tell me what you think! (’bout the clothes not my face lols) muahs!

..yeah, right so…

1.35am ! That makes it oficially the 6th of november, and therefore I guess I didn’t ‘break the rules’. Yeah, I’m being sarcastic. For the ones who didn’t know or didn’t want to even know about what the 5th  of november was about, in our ‘little’ second life community, it meant a boycot on second life with the intent of letting second life ‘bosses’ know how pissed *cough* and concerned we are about content theft.  Taking in consideration most of us actually dedicated our time to ‘talk’ about it..I’ll give you my little input on it. The intent of this ‘day’ had a really positive and important meaning behind it, and if not all of us have followed the ‘rules’ to really make a difference we did by just voicing our opinions about content theft. We do need to take action, we do need to spread the word, and do whatever we can to stop it, however, let’s not just dedicate one day to it but every day, in any way we can. I do think part of our responsability is to also, educate people, people who are not aware of how big this community is or are not involved in sl in a way we are, include them and not exclude them..and make sl a better experience, for everyone. Respect!

Don’t look, don’t look…the shadows breathe!

For some time now I’ve been wanting to make an outfit with a pair of creepers shoes, I’ve actually thought about buying a ‘new’ pair of the leopard print ones (in rl).
I’ve worn them years ago and I loved them (just as much as I loved my Dr.Martens)  I think now that both animal prints and wedges are ‘trendy’ again, I should re-consider and just buy them again!
That triggered me to get some jeepers creeper’s in sl, and gah gah, I finally made up my mind in rl.I think they do make a normal, basic outfit, look way better and much weirder (in a good way) than expected. OH OH, I’ve debated that with Irie (heart and creative mind behind So Many Styles) she didn’t really like this outfit with her (soon to be released) blazin’ amazin’ jacket. I just replied with : trust your uma! (don’t punch me polaca) It’s really a personal choice! However, no matter what shoes you wear, no matter what you mix it up with, this jacket will always look amazing with whatever you feel like wearing. Power shoulders ftw! I love them! As I’ve stated so many times, I love puff sleeves and I love power/sharp shoulders!! I really do and can’t do anything about this obsession but thank god, people like Irie make my dreams come true in sl. WOOT WOOT!

On another (big) small note, how amazing is Iki Ikaru’s (DUTCH TOUCH) new skin line???.. Oh well, the new skin Jolie, is just AMAZING! If you’re one like myself who thought Cleo wasn’t your cup of tea, I truly advise you to check this new line . Jolie gathers all the unique features and ”bone structure” that her previous line did, but in a softer harmonious way, I am truly surprised and thrilled to say I am in love! I have no idea how she did it but she did!! It’s <3! I guess it’s time for me to wish you a happy halloween non?..HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! <3 Uma

haihai!…It’s clearly obvious I’ve had a lot time to kill lately and apart from it, I just wanna have fun blogging! So as I got home from college, I was thinking about making a couple of outfits, based on some ‘high school stereotypes’. I have not succeeded though, but had it in mind while mix and matching (a whole damn lot). Because it’s not my intention to spam feeds with pictures I figured I’d just squeeze them all together *clearly not a pretty picture* but hey, I’m lazy and I almost got sick of changing. ALMOST!…So I guess if I’d have to ‘label’ each look, I’d call (from left to right) the first, ‘tough pride girl’, second ‘awkwardly cute nerd’, third  ‘bootsie boho’ and fourth ‘artsy ballerina’. I clearly missed out the bitch-sie and the pop-sie girls but hey…there’s just so much time and patience to do this and in order to stay true to myself, I chose the ones I have a bitsie in common with. ! <3, <3, <3!

So today I really wanted to make a look, that chanelled a bit of my grandms, then I started recalling old mum’s pic, back in the late 60s, she wore these round sunglasses and long trenchs/coats, with short skirts and seriously a lot of shirts over sweaters, maybe she had some sort of obsession with those, and her chignons with braids..zomg.  Yeah, I really love her old pics! Tres Blah’s ‘nerdy chic glasses’ (for 5o linden fridays) were really my inspiration to dress up today! <3 Uma

*COCO*’s shirt and !Lagyo’s necklace were my second inspiration for the outfit on the left (top pic), and So Many Style’s (soon to be released) jacket and Kao sand’s boots to middle one. I really love these looks (which are mostly done out of old stuff really) if they have anything in common, I guess I’d say the glasses and the details of brown…hope you like it! muah muah!

I love accessories, I love them cluttered all around my lil body (and if only I could wear more in sl I WOULD) , I love berets, I love this poncho, I love leggings and I love socks…and socks with sandals. Lol. Yeah, because season’s shouldn’t determine when or if we should (or not) wear opened shoes and though for most might look super weird, I don’t care >_< no I don’t, ’cause I think it looks cute!!…I was listening to Múm when I put this together and it seemed so appropriate, so cold and so warm, just like how  I was feeling and in need for. <3 Uma

hai-ih! Hope everyone’s having a great weekend!

I had these two outfits done  and pictures taken on thursday night, but then, I noticed all pictures were ruined. Some weird thing with sl lightings messed them up, but by then I was so mad and lazy I didn’t come back until today to re-shoot. </3 However today all was fine and I was happy to snap them quite fast. I am not sure if you’re one like me, who have bought the**DP**yumyum tweed blazers in the past and noticed that with time and sl lighting changes + the fact prims are no mod, you couldn’t wear them anymore. I was so sad (for such a long time) I sent a notecard to Toraji, breaking all my broken japanese rules, and asked if she could replace my old ones with a fixed version. I was soooo happy she actually did it, that I was inspired to put these two outfits together. I really don’t know if the tweed blazers that are still for sale, are fixed or reajusted to the actual sl lightings but if not, and if you have bought them before, do ask her for a fixed version, I’m sure she will get back to you.

Now on to the outfits, I really love them. I love the quirky, cute, feminine and (colorful) fun look  to them. I really had visioned the blazers with a neck bow shirt, which for some reason, I couldn’t find, not the right one at least. So I improvised Shai’s volpe blouse bow with leezu’s valerie shirt. I was happy it worked so well and happy that I had both colors in my closet. I guess this could be considered a budget look, since I had everything in my invo already,  just mix and matched it in a quite different way from the past and although I wore almost the same pieces in both looks I wanted them to look quite different. love love love. Also I know the hair on the brown outfit is a bit too much, I’ve had this hair for so long and noticed I never blogged it, I thought it added a bit of crazyness to it and I really dig it. For a ‘normal’ day in sl, I’m not sure I’d wear it, probably would go for the junwave ’snail’ hair or a chignon. Really up to each other..ehe! Have a great saturday!! muahs <3 Uma
